Road To Recovery. Koji The Shiba Inu

We have two dogs that we take to the park ~3 times a week, a husky (Nike) and a shiba inu (Koji). Usually my mom and me or my brother would take them as well, but sometimes she will go alone if my brother and I have work. On December 31, 2016, my mom took them to the park by herself. She parked the car and got ready to take them to the park (the park is across the street from the parking). Koji, the shiba inu, jumped out the car and ran across the street. A car, driving at least 10 mph over the speed limit, hit Koji and did not stop or bother to even check on him. Koji was unresponsive and my mom had to take him to the nearest pet hospital. He was there for almost 2 days before we decided to take him to our own vet (we've known them for a long time). The workers at the pet hospital weren't doing much for Koji and we had two different "doctors" telling us different stories about him. Then they still decide to charge us $4,000+ for the things they claimed they did for him and for things he hasn't even gotten yet (as they gave Koji to us, the worker said, "you might as well take this since you already paid"). We were glad we took him out of there when we did. Our vet took Koji and gave us frequent updates. They actually took care of him and he was recovering a lot faster! Now, about 2.5 weeks later, he is home with us and is still recovering. He needs to learn to walk straight, eat/drink on his own, hear, see, and pee/poop on his own. We are happy Koji is doing much better. The bill from our own vet is something we can handle, but the $4,000 bill from the hospital is too much on our family. My mother works two jobs and my brothers and I have all just graduated from college within the past year. Any amount of donation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
