Let's Help Kathi Fix Her Car

My friend, Kathi Lowder, who 23 years ago became paraplegic due to a car accident, needs your help. She has struggled to regain her independence and was lucky enough to buy a car and install hand controls in 2009. Unfortunately, the week after Christmas the transmission went caput and it will cost $2800 to replace. She can't work due to chronic pain and ongoing health issues. She struggles to make it on disability every month, but she does so. She even volunteers for people less fortunate than she when she's able. I had to talk her into letting me do this for her because she isn't really good at asking for help, but she is at the point that she needs it.
