Since 1934 when Mr. Raymond Vance founded the Kilties as an all boy drum and bugle corps associated with the local YMCA and continuing through these many decades to the present all-age coed Kilties--the Kilties have made positive and uplifting changes in the lives of thousands; touching the hearts of members, fans, friends and families alike.

In 2015 the Kilties faced unexpected challenges with costly repairs and upkeep to their vehicles which transport all their equipment from city to city, state to state and region to region.
