Landons Eagle Scout Project

Hello my name is Landon Pickering, and I am 15 years old. For my eagle scout project I chose to renovate a home for transitional housing for THE HOUSE OF REFUGE. House of Refuge lost their government funding last year and had to evict many families. The family in house #19 was upset at this, and decided to destroy the home is sadness and anger. So I went to House of Refuge and saw house #19, and said "this is what I want to do for my project." After looking in the home I knew it would be a hard project. There were broken windows, termites, fungus, holes in drywall, broken cabinets and appliances, doors kick right off the hinges, and cracked tile. I chose to to this for my project because I want to help a homeless person/family or domestic violence victims get into a nice, new, and clean home.
