Kyle and I are asking for your help.After delivering Charlotte we quickly noticed a slight shift in my posture. I was also experiencing some back pain after sitting for an hour each nursing session. Now, almost a year later, we are faced with some difficult decisions. After an MRI and an EMG nerve function test, doctors discovered a herniated disc that is impacting the nerve and muscle function in my right leg; officially I was diagnosed with Radiculopathy or "Sciatica". I have undergone one epidural cortisone steroid injection and have a second scheduled for December 8 at 3:30pm. I am also scheduled for a consultation with a surgeon to discuss the possibility of a discectomy where they surgically remove the problematic portion of the disc.We have been doing our best to manage the expenses of the different avenues I have taken in order to address this crippling pain - chiropractic, physical therapy, massage, OCT medications, creams, lidocaine patches...we even bought a new bed in the hopes that would help. With an upcoming second epidural injection and the prospect of surgery, we are asking for help to recover some of the cost from the last year so that we can make wise decisions that are not influenced by finances.
