309 Punk Museum Project (Phase II)

Donation protected

At long last, we are moving into Phase II of the
309 Punk Museum Project

Our goal
Now that we've secured the money to establish our 501c3 status, we can now focus on our main goal--the actual purchase of the house and the establishment of 309 Punk Museum Project.

We hope to do this within a year. Phase II will allow us to raise the first part of our down payments and pay for our non-profit status.

Our goal for Phase II of the project is to raise $4,000 by the first week of June.

Why this is important
As someone who lived in 309 for nearly a decade, I can endlessly tell you stories about the home and what it means to me. We all could. Instead of doing that, though, we want to focus on what 309 meant to so many others over the years. As we progress through Phase II, we will share the stories of others to help demonstrate the significance of this house to the punk community, not just in Pensacola but on Planet Earth. Furthermore, we will also share stories from people who are equally excited about the Punk Museum Project.

What we want to accomplish
Imagine this: when the final goal is complete, we'll have the largest museum dedicated to punk rock in the United States, and possibly in the world.  Furthermore, the 309 Punk Museum will also be the only museum of its kind in the South, and we’ll have a strong focus on local/regional counterculture. There will really be nothing like it.

We're so excited!

As a gift to our contributors, we're working on a zine about the history of 309, which we hope to have out very soon. For all donations over $100, we'll send you a free copy of the zine.  We'll probably have some other goodies that'll be announced as we progress, but I wanted to share that one with you.

Above all, for any donation of any size, you'll get our undying love. We can't express how grateful we are for those who contributed to Phase I of the 309 Punk Museum Project. Through the generous donations of several dozen people--from cities as far apart as Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, New York, Dublin, and (of course) Pensacola, Florida-- we far exceeded our first goal. Looking at our past success, we're confident we'll meet this goal, too. Our love and admiration go deep for all of you, and our commitment to you and this project go just as deep.

As always, if you have any questions, please let us know.
