Farwest Steelers Road To Nationals

WE ARE GOING TO THE POP WARNER SUPER BOWL!!The Steelers are a team of 22 dedicated 11 and 12 year old athletes who have had a common goal in mind since the first day of practice on August 1st. With hard work, determination and their dream in mind they have built a brotherhood on and off the field. The camaraderie between the boys are second to none, this band of brothers have fought together through blood, sweat and tear in 100+ degree weather always supporting each other in every tackle, sac, touchdown and even fumble!The Steelers ended their regular season with a 7-0 record, moving onto the state playoffs to win the Arizona Pop Warner Jr Pee Championship. With this win they advanced to the Wescon Region in California winning the Wescon Regional Jr Pee Wee Championship. They are one of the final eight Pop Warner Jr Pee Wee teams in the nation advancing to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Center in Disney World for the National Championship Pop Warner Super Bowl! With the same pride they share on the field they take to the classroom. As a team they maintain above a 3.5 GPA, with multiple boys being named Little Scholar Athletes by Pop Warner and honor roll or principal list at their schools. It doesn't stop there, they also give back to their community by volunteering for the Phoenix VA Hospital. The Steelers help our Veterans with house and yard work and have the honor of listening to WWII Veterans telling their stories. This amazing once in a lifetime opportunity also comes with the challenge of raising the money for the cost of the tournament,  and food for these boys in 11 short days. Our Steeler Family have been busy fundraising all season, from selling cookies, candles and butterbraids, to family garage sales and pancakes breakfasts, poker tournaments and hustling at Cardinal games, we have raised almost one third of the cost. We are asking our families, friends and Steeler Alumni to pull together with our Steeler Family to help these young athletes complete their dream. With your monetary donation you will contribute in helping 22 hardworking young athletes to achieve the goal they set out to make their first day of practice.
