Homeless Care Packs

The Twin Cities has a fairly high homeless population. Every day I see men and women who need help. My kids and I like to make care packages to hand out...and the contents change with the seasons. In fall and winter we like to add hand and feet warmers, a pair of thick clean socks, a warm hat, and gloves as well as some food (protein bars) and bottles of water. Basic necessities such as Advil, hand wipes, tooth brushes and deodorant also go in these packs. In Sumer we focus more on high energy foods, water, meal vouchers and basic necessities.All of this gets quite expensive. I love to carry a box of these care packs around in my car and the kids help me pass them out when we are driving around town.If you feel led to help us with this fund raiser every single penny will go into making these care packs. As important as it is to me to help where I can, I also feel that it is important to instill compassion and kindness in my kids. Thank you for considering helping us!
