On January 12, 2016 Peaceful Assembly Church caught fire. Currently a new Board of Directors which is a mixture of some long serving Board of Directors as well as five new members have begun the monumental task of restoring this beautiful old Church to its prior glory. We are working hard to get the debris cleaned up so that work may begin on the restoration. The fire marshall has declared that the structure was 'over-engineered' when it was built in 1798 and that the building is sound.
The current Fund-raising effort is for removal of fire debris through 30 yard dumpsters. We are estimating that it will take roughly four hauls currently.
Thank you to everyone who is helping us with this endeavor. May God bless you.
