Being able to spend time at JALY home during our trip to India was both an incredible and eye opening experience for us both. Although our time at the orphanage was limited, we were both touched by the incredible impact the orphanage and it's programs have had on the lives of the children, and the local community.

JALY home provides refuge for children who have experienced adversity; abandonment, disability, neglect and poverty. Some children were found begging on the streets, eating scraps and wearing rags whilst others had been subject to a life of extreme poverty within the gypsy communtiy.

Children at JALY home and Pullambadi (the boys home) are now fed, clothed and safe. They have beds to sleep in, and have all been enrolled in school. Most importantly they have a safe space to play and grow, where they are allowed to be normal kids.

We have witnessed firsthand the impact donations make on the orphanage, but there is still more work to be done. In order for the orpahange to expand and continue to provide care for these children and those who are still facing poverty, more funding is required.
We are asking you to lend a helping hand in providing these kids with a lifestyle we here take for granted.
