Introduction:
Hi, my name is Nick Rush. I am the founder of saidfree.com . I started saidfree in the spring of 2011 but need to raise money to continue to develop the concept further, to its next logical step. I started saidfree at a time when it seemed that every day you would hear a story about how someone lost their job because of something they posted on Facebook or Twitter. Because of this, I felt I had to create a communication application that allowed people to speak freely without fear of being persecuted and to insure that free speech is possible, and protected, on the internet.

Saidfree.com is an account and download free online chat interface, the quintessential model of how free speech would work on the internet. (There is nothing to download, no account to set up, nothing to sign into. If you can open a browser and are connected to the internet, you can communicate freely with the world or others at saidfree.com). It is analogous to putting a chalkboard in your front yard and letting people write whatever they want on it- only online. Users can create private chat windows or chat in one of the trends, topics, or home screens. Saidfree.com was built as a high-load chat application capable of handling millions of users per second.
Where the funds will go:
I will be using the funds I raise to pay for the hosting and the further development and marketing of saidfree.com. Hosting is about $400 a month, without traffic. If I had a million users a day, the hosting would be much more expensive. As far as the development is concerned, I want to turn saidfree.com into a one-stop-shop communication application compatible with all devices while fighting for online free speech throughout the world. Marketing the site is the most expensive aspect of moving the concept further. (One can easily spend millions with online and traditional marketing campaigns).
Why Care:
The freedom of speech is an inalienable right enjoyed by only some on this planet. At saidfree.com, we want to extend that right to any person on the internet, wherever in the world they may be. Your donation is much appreciated.
