NW Haiti Disaster: Hurricane Relief

A devastating Cat 4 hurricane - Matthew blew over the northwestern peninsula of Haiti on Tuesday with wind speeds approaching 145-MPH. In its wake was left devastation like ones not seen since the earthquake of 2010, flooding, mud slides, loss of roofs, building and life were vast. The grinding misery of this hemisphere's poorest country - Haiti is once again being reflected upon after this massive storm wreaks havoc over the country side. The photo above is one of the schools; located in Bombardopolis - Haiti, that was totally destroyed by hurricane Mathew. To just simply state, the people of Bombardopolis lost everything would do an injustice to those who survived. An immediate need for Food, Water, Clothes, Medicine, and Shelters are vast and are in short supply.
R&D Premium Foods have already emptied our food warehouses in Bombardopolis as an attempted to help stay off famine. However, unfortunately it’s far from being sufficient to address the present urgent needs of the people. Please help us raise funds in order to purchase food, water, medicine, and clothes as well as to help rebuild the community. We have already contracted transportation in order to truck more food and supplies to Bombardopolis but unfortunately at present the roads are unsafe and in some instances at an impasse. We are currently working on air lifting food and supplies from Port Au Prince to Bombardopolis, if trucking continues to remains treacherous and impassable.

Additionally, after the immediate needs of food, water and temporary shelters have been met, comes the rebuilding of the infrastructure. With that being stated, R&D Premium Foods will be using the remaining funds raised to not only rebuild schools with all of their necessary supplies but also permanent housing for the community. Haiti maybe impoverished, but are proud, family oriented people and in times of crisis bands together to help one another. PLEASE HELP US HELP THEM.
