Help Angel's Grow Their Wings

Here is the story. Two years ago Angel’s Cappuccino and Ice Cream Cafe decided to expand. If you’ve been to Angels, you know its bursting at the seams with heart and soul. They were told by the City of Calgary and Enmax that rather than expand, they would need to move within the current parking lot to accommodate an overhead powerline. Expansion blueprints were set aside to build a new building with an Edmonton builder to ensure that generations to come could experience the magic of Angel’s Cafe. The building was being built in Edmonton with plans to move it to Calgary.

Unfortunately, after taking almost all of the money allocated for the project, the builder walked away leaving the building 60% complete and still in Edmonton. After processing this devastating blow and letting go of this half built building, Angel’s has now been told by Enmax that the power line no longer needs to be moved and has returned to their original expansion blue prints and plan to expand in place.

The community is rallying behind the angels at Angel’s to raise funds to help them spread their wings and ensure this inspirational cafe by the river is able to serve up not only ice cream and coffee but elevating smiles and conversations for generations to come.

We are trying to raise $350,000 to cover the financial debt left by the builder and support what we hope will be the most heart felt barn raising Calgary has ever seen. Angel’s has always been and will always be about community which makes this a very special campaign indeed. Be an angel for Angel’s by contributing what feels good!

All donors are appreciated and will be held in our hearts forever. Donations over $50 will be honoured with a beautiful wing installation made of individual feathers with donor’s names inscribed. Donations over $500 will receive a larger feather.
