I'm a UK volunteer operating in northern Malawi since December 2016, running a gender based violence (GBV) project and helping to reduce poverty and tackle HIV under the umbrella of registered NGO, Ellotte Future, founded in Nkhata Bay several years ago.

The GBV project uses a community led approach focusing on rural outreach peer education. In other words, we recruit, train and support local volunteers in delivering sessions on GBV, its harmful effects, rights, laws and support services within remote, rural communities where GBV cases are high and educational resources are low.

So far, your donations have been used to reach over 200 girls, orphans and rural communities! We have provided 135 girls with reusable sanitary pads, fully kitted out a local orphanage and supported various individuals with various needs, such as school fees, basic equipment and business support.
