Family of 4, homeless. Need help
Who We Are
My name is Catherine O Diaz Zabala. I'm a 46 year old single mother from Puerto Rico with four children. one of which has went to live as a roomate in the house of another family. I have major depression, anxiety disorder, sleep disorder, diabetes type 2, high blood pressure, overweight and movement problems due to the pain on the knees and ankles, all part of the condition. The oldest son, Kevin Omar Diaz, 25, now lives as a roomate in another house.
My 19 year old and 16 year old sons Joel De La Rosa Diaz and Yaser De La Rosa Diaz both have Asperger's Syndrome, and my 11 year old daughter Catherine Odalys De La Rosa Diaz has Autism.
Summary Of The Troubles We've Been In
-We lost about half our income, so we couldn't afford the costs of living at our apartment as it was $1,700 per month
-We moved to a hotel, InTown Suites, and now that we were there, we had no idea how expensive it'd be now. It was supposed to be cheap, but ended up being too much, about $1550 per month and we ended up being homeless. We lived there from June 10th to October 1st.
-We've been going from hotel to hotel since then. Not only are the shelters full, but they reject us because they don't accept families with children 18 years or older. Churches only help the members of their church.
-We've lost most of our groceries, because most of it had to be left behind in the fridge of the room we were staying at in InTown Suites
Why we need to raise the money.
We want to raise enough money to pay down payment and one month of rent and deposit on anything they ask for. We preferably want a manufactured home, as that's one of the cheaper homes that are around.
Just having a roof for my family to be under would mean a lot to us, and we'd be grateful from the bottom of our hearts for anyone kind and generous enough to get us a home.
$1-5 dollar donations are appreciated, but we don't mind bigger donations.
