Help restore a classic for my dad
Spende geschützt
Hello, my name is CR Hess, and I am the grandson of Charles Willis Hess Sr. My grandfather just passed away on September the 30th, and as an added hardship, my father's birthday was on October 1st. This has been incredibly hard on the family, but as expected, more so on my dad. He had a golden relationship with him. They shared so many bonds.
My Grandfather used to own a 1978 Chrysler Cordoba. Many many years ago, he gave it to my dad because they shared a similar love for the car. Well, once I was old enough, this became my very first car, and this added even more memories to it! One day while driving it home from work, a deer ran out in front of me, and it really messed up the front end. Not having the availability to fix it, we were froced to let it sit, covered in the backyard for years. We always felt guilty that a car that had so many memories was out of commision.
Once my "PopPop" passed, my father expressed a extreme desire to get the car fixed, however it's still a very difficult process to begin. Personally, I just don't see it being able to be done in the near future. That's why I need your help.
My grandfather was a retired Navy vet and a heck of a man. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren with all of his heart and soul. Please help me make the holidays just a little easier on my father by giving him the availability to fix up this classic car. It's in rough shape guys, but I know if he had the money, he would do it. I promise to film some of the process and update this throughout the entirety of the restoration.
Help me keep my granddad's memory alive. It's so important to us.
