I am the loving and concerned great aunt of 15 year old Javon Long. On Monday, September 26th Javon was critically wounded by a gunshot wound to his neck. During this same shooting event his stepfather was fatally injured and passed away that same evening. The shooting stemmed from an argument between adults and Javon was an innocent victim. Since that time Javon has undergone two life sustaining surgeries.
Javon and his mother is now living with another single mother who has two small children of her own. Javon is in need of a bed and funds to cover basic living expenses.
He is expected to undergo continuous medical treatments to monitor the repairs to the major vein in his neck and may need an additional surgery as well. Also, transportation costs needs to be covered because his mother does not have a vehicle.
Any assistance that can be supplied to help Javon and his mother, (who also lost and will soon bury her husband as a result of this tragic event), will be most helpful and appreciated.
