To my friends and family,

Many of you may know that I have been living the last two years of my life in beautiful Kansas City.
I moved in 2014 to begin pre professional dance schooling for two years under Störling Dance Theater's Artist Development Program. What I hoped would be two years dancing to my hearts content, turned into an extremely difficult and discouraging journey.

Within the first two months I severely injured my ankle tearing 3 ligaments and was on crutches. Doctors visits and physical therapy began immediately. It took me until January of 2015 before I could dance on my ankle fully again. However shortly after this I was walking to the restroom after morning class and completely lost control of the left side of my body down to my leg. That day I went into the doctor and had to have an emergency MRI. I was diagnosed with moderate to severe scoliosis, two dehydrated disks and a bulging disk hitting my sciatic nerve. I could not dance until the pain subsided and I regained feeling in my left leg. This injury carried itself into the next year of school and out of the two 9 month sessions in Kansas city I danced full out for 5.

During this time there was one thing that I felt that I could do and do well. Pilates. I had Pilates class at school as well as in physical therapy. I would do it everyday over and over again as I watched my fellow classmates dance beautifully. When I felt weak Pilates would make me feel strong. During my exercises on my mat I had time to think to process to heal. Pilates main focus is to strengthen your core and for me it helped strengthen my soul. It forced me to find where I was flawed and bring life to it. It opened my mind to how hurt and broken my heart was not just my body. Pilates was an instrument in helping me become happy again. Both physically and emotionally. Today I'm a stronger dancer than I have ever been because of it. I am continuing to heal daily and have been accepted into the professional dance company, Störling.

I know there are others who are feeling what I have felt. Who are holding bitterness against their bodies. I want to come alongside women and men broken in their core and speak life to their souls. I want them to gain confidence in their framework and know they are powerful and worthy of life.

I will be starting my Polestar Pilates Certification in February 2017

The last two years have not only been hard on my body, they have been hard on my finances. Being in school, missing work because of injuries and having no insurance takes a toll. Even though I'm in a better place now I'm not in a place to go it alone financially. Your help can get me there. I need to raise a total of $5,200 to complete my schooling. I'm beyond thankful that Polestar is working with my finacial situation. They have created a payment plan for me. For 8 months I will owe them $606, due on the 15th of each month. This began in November when I registerd.

Gofundme takes 3% of each donation. Your support can also take a few days to deposit in my account. My goal is to raise more than $606 if possible by the 12th of each month. To insure there's enough and that its on time for the 15th.

Thank you for reading how the last two years have affected my life. What was pain for two years has grown to be beauty and wisdom in my life. My heart goes out to you if in anyway you are struggling with emotional, financial or physical pain. Have hope and do not be bitter.

Please consider giving financially to help me pursue my dream. Your support means the world to me and will help me far into my future and the lifes of others.

Please feel free to share this with anyone.

Thank you!
