The Winter Blues Festival was started in 1999 in Echuca Moama with the aim of increasing visitation numbers to the region during the quietest time of year. It was thought that a Blues Music event would be the ideal vehicle to achieve that aim.
17 years on and this has been achieved in spades. Not only has the Winter Blues Festival become arguably the largest event on our district’s calendar it has developed into one of Victoria’s most unique music festivals and has achieved National recognition.
The festival is a FREE event run by a small group of core volunteers. Without the support of locals, festival-goers, venues, accomodation properties, retail businesses, and YOU, the festival would not survive. If you love blues music, love what the festival brings to town, or just have a couple bucks to spare, we would appreciate your support to keep out festival running FREE OF CHARGE for years info the future.
