Family Promise Week

Family Promise of the Verdugos (FPV) is celebrating National Family Promise week along with 200 other affiliates around the nation from October 16 to October 23. The week long celebration acknowledges the year round support thousands of volunteers and staff provide to homeless families all across the U.S.
FPV will be celebrating and highlighting key components of our program all week long. We are also looking to our donor base to help us raise $5,000.00 during this special week. This funding will help cover a portion of what it takes to operate our Day Center. The Day Center is the place where family members can shower, wash clothing, have access to internet, and have a safe and nurturing environment where they can raise their children during the duration of their time with us.
Since we reopened our doors last year we have helped homeless families from our communities by providing them shelter, meals, intensive case management, and more in order to help them regain their independence. 96% of the families that have had access to our program have moved into sustainable housing. 100% of those families have remained in sustainable housing and have returned to serve as volunteers, with one of those families recently purchasing their own home.
