The KIMSTRONG fund is intended to collect donations to help Kim Connelly while she battles breast cancer.
Kim has touched the lives of so many in various ways throughout her life. She has helped care for neglected animals, participated in fundraisers to help others in need, and finally decided to combine her bubbly personality and talent to help children as a phlebotomist at Mt Washington Pediatric Hospital.
Kim was diagnosed with lobular breast cancer 2 moths ago. She underwent bilateral mastectomy and lymphectomy this past week, and is currently recovering from the procedure at home. As a single mother of 2, Kim's greatest fear aside from her upcoming battle and the unknown, is her fear of the financial struggles that she will face. Due to the nature of her job, Kim will be unable to work while she undergoes treatment. This could last anywhere from 8 weeks up to a year's time. While we all may have difficulties in our lives, I can't imagine worrying about putting food on the table or losing my house, while fighting for my life. Many have reached out asking what they can do to help. Please consider taking one worry away from Kim so she can focus on her health and her children.
