Keep Ben At Mizzou

Dear Reader,

Mi name is Ben Gontor and I am currently a freshman at the Honors College at the University of Missouri. 

Coming to college was not an easy feat. After my father was deported back to Nigeria when I was twelve, I soon left the United States with my mother and brother to live with my father in Africa for several years. 

I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to go to college, let alone in America. My family is struggling financially, and I am responsible for paying my own college tuition. My mom is currently unemployed, and my brother suffers from Autism. Without the financial assistance of my father any longer, I am afraid I will not be able to keep paying for my college education.

Although I am working at Starbucks now and planning to acquire a second job soon, it's incredibly difficult to stay on top of my studies and earn enough money to stay here at Mizzou. 

I am majoring in Biochemistry (Pre-Med) , and I plan on becoming a neurosurgeon someday.  I value my education immensely, and every donation helps.
