In 2010 Jasmine began to experience an onslaught of violent seizures. Her doctors were unable to determine the cause, and therefore not being able to prescribe the proper medication to get her seizures under control. As a result, she had to discontinue her studies at Andrews University.

A few years passed, and she resumed her studies at Indiana University at South Bend, but the seizures still persisted and she again, had to take time off.

The seizures stopped, but that was not the end of Jasmine’s struggle. She began to experience a tremendous amount of pain in her joints, that's when she was diagnosed with a degenerative joint disease and then followed by a diagnosis of endometriosis.

The meds are strong, but the pain is stronger, making it difficult to get up in the morning and do normal activities such as working or going to school. She eventually decided that it would be best to put her studies aside and return home to Seattle, where she could receive better health care.

Her grandmother, who has been Jasmine’s main and only caretaker, developed Alzheimer's and had to move into a nursing home several states away.

When things couldn’t get any worse, Jasmine was diagnosed with cancer in May and although she had a surgery, which they believe has removed most of the cancer, she will need the surgery again in 3 months. In order to remain cancer free these procedures will be ongoing.

Two short months after her surgery to remove the cancer she now has to have a surgery for her endometriosis.

Trying to maintain a normal life, Jasmine has been working to help cover the cost of living and medical expenses. However, recently week her job decided that it would be best to let her go. The family that was housing her will no longer be able to do and she will have to find another place to live by November. The funds that you donate will help with housing, medical expenses and the cost of living.  It will help relieve some of the burden so Jasmine can focus on getting better.

Your support is invaluable during one of the most difficult times in Jasmine's life. Thank you.
