Emergency Travel Expenses

Melis’ father was diagnosed with cancer last year. It has been a long, frustrating fight. He recently chose to stop treatment and return to Turkey to be with family. Ekrem and Zarife left at the end of August, leaving their daughters behind. Melis, a teacher, and her sister, a grad student, are now purchasing last minute tickets for Turkey as he is not doing well. These young women are struggling with the inevitable loss of their father and now are facing a month of lost wages, tuition, and credits.
