My name is Diane Gammon and I am raising money for my granddaughter Brooklyn-Bree who is 4 years old and who is the light of my life.
Brooklyn was born with multiple heart defects (CHD) and had her first open- heart surgery right after she was born. She had another open- heart surgery a few months later. Specifically, Brooklyn-Bree was born with HypoPlastic Left Heart Syndrome.
We do not know the exact prognosis for Brooklyn and she recently made her Make- a -Wish trip to Disney World to meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
Brooklyn may need another open-heart surgery someday and/ or she may need a heart transplant one day. She frequently needs cardiac catheterizations as well as other medical procedures.
Brooklyn lives in Tennessee and her parents have to travel and take her to Boston, Massachusetts to Boston Children's Hospital frequently for her care.
When her family travels to take her to Boston, they usually have to stay about 3 weeks.
I am raising money for their travel and medical expenses.
