Battling a rare and terminal cancer

Hey everyone,
First I'm going to take a few minutes to talk about what an amazing compassionate and STRONG willed husband and father of 2 and not allow his cancer to define and over shadow the genuinely awesome man he is! I'd like to introduce you all to Ryan York he's a 34 year old husband and father of 2 beautiful babies! He is from a small town in NB where he lived a pretty simple life! He met the love of his life and welcomed their first child in July of 07... it was only 2 short years later in 2009 when he was diagnosed withParaganglioma (a rare form of cancer) It started out as a small lump on his neck and he soon went and got it checked out! He began chemo and radiation and had the mass removed! He was in remission (yay) he went for his regular checkups and everything seemed to be good! Then one scan (a single scan can change someone's life so drastically) the cancer came back but this time it had spread to his lungs, liver and bones! The doctors gave him a few short years to live... He went through trial drugs (that worked for a little while) appointments and scans! While all of this was going on he was still working, loving his wife and son and trying to provide the best life for them he could! when the odds of life were against them they welcomed their beautiful babygirl in march of 16!! Now this man has proved to have some kind of super human strength and determination... or maybe the love for his life and the beautiful people he has in it has made him fight and keep going! Just recently it has become too much for Ryan to fight the fight and go to work, his last doctors appointment was full of bad news! After he had new scans and tests done the doctors told him that he has a year at best! Years ago when they gave him a couple years they had trials and options and doctors to take on his case, now that he has surpassed the odds and with no new medical options this could be his last and final time with his little family! He can try chemo again of course but that in itself is a big decision.. he doesn't want to just give up (we clearly know that's not in his nature) but does he want to spend his last moments sick and weak not being able to get out of bed at all. His wife is home to help him and take care of the children! I originally thought that I would start a page for them to take
a much deserved family vacation but the stress of Ryan not working and Melissa not being able to has taken a huge toll on them financially! I'm not asking for millions but let's work together and help this family out! I'm sorry for the length of this but I really wanted to get his story out.. he truly is a magnificent human
