My name is Amairany Galaviz, I recently graduated from high school dreaming of going to school right after. Due to financial issues that wasn't able to happen, I continue to work a part time job at a local restaurant making enough money for the essentials, but not enough for my dream.
Most students receive some kind of financial help such as, FAFSA. Other students considered "middle class" struggle when it comes to financial help because we supposedly have enough money for bills, food, and for college. The truth is, that we make enough for the essentials. This money will be going to my college plan which is, attending community college for two years for my general education courses and transfering to CSU San Bernardino where I have been accepted, and will have the opportunity to attend the social work program that they have.
I have always enjoyed going to school, learning new things, and developing into a better pereson. School has always been a motivation towards my achievements, because it gets me closer to my dream of being a Social Worker.
This would mean so much to me because you wouldn't only be helping me go to school, you would be helping the children I one day will be working with as well. My future career as a social worker, I plan on helping children in need and providing them a safe home with people that truly love them and accept them. Many children and teens don't receive that in their life which makes them choose certain choices that aren't the best and it hurts them. Like I was told before, the kids of now are the ones that will make the future. It is all about the little details that make the difference. A difference I want to be a part of.
I will be very thankful for your help, it will mean a lot to me, I won't give up and I'll do my best to succeed to make my dream come true. I promise, it will be worth it.
