Hi!
My name is Cuci and I play in the band, Afrobeta.
We love our music scene here in Miami and last year we produced a music festival called Mooncake to bill some of our favorite artists together at one beautiful venue, The North Beach Bandshell. The event was free to the public and all ages. Thanks to everyone who participated, it was a great success.
It was clear to us that our scene was thriving on the type of community building that Mooncake was able to accomplish.
Now we want to do it again!
This year we have an amazing group of artists and vendors ready to share their incredible gifts with you.
Our artists include, The Guitars Over Guns alumni band, The Dutch Hippies, The State Of, Raffa, Galactic Effect, Laura of Miami, Skinny Hendrix and Afrobeta. Including special guest artist, Jen Clay who is creating an interactive installation.
We will have a suggested donation of $5 per person at the door this year. It would greatly help us if you could donate those $5, here on Go Fund Me. We will use the money we raise here to pay the acts a nominal fee per person for their time and provide some healthy backstage grub.
This means so much to me because events like these remind us to celebrate life and create memories as a community.
