Rebuilding Since Being Robbed

On the eve of Wednesday, July 27th my world was rocked. I had just seen a show during the 12th Annual KC Fringe Fest. I was among people I loved & streets I knew. I was at the corner of 18th & Broadway.

As 9:30 at night rolled around I was walking back to my parked car. A young man rushed me. I dashed into my car & locked the door. He held a gun to the window demanding things. I wasn't going to let anyone victimize me that easily. He bashed in my window sending glass everywhere cutting me & leaving me with scars inside & out. We wrestled a bit & he ran to my passenger door. As he got in my car I got out & ran. He chased me a block.

I now live in fear as my sense of safety has been shattered. I am anxious & I have intense flashbacks. I have night terrors in the dark & I daydream in the light. My world was rocked that night & I may never be the same.

I set up this page as a way to support me & this journey that I am forced to go on. I have lost wages, my medical bills are adding up & I need help covering the cost of replacing the things that were stolen. I woukd also like to install a secirity system in my home as he has my driver's license. This is my voice & I hope that I'll never be alone again like I was that night. Thank you...
