Disabled Artisan in Desperate Need
My name is Nancy Powell. I am 49 years old and I am a disabled artisan. I have been disabled since April 6, 2010 after being severely injured in an automotive accident. I have recently been diagnosed with severe chronic osteoarthritis. I have been trying desperately to get my disability benefits going, but I have been unsuccessful, so far. Since I am unable to work, I am unable to afford life and health insurance, and I am also trying desperately to return to my hometown in Loudon TN. I am trying to raise enough money to buy a small piece of land ( 1/2 acre to 1 acre ) in order to put one of those "tiny houses" on. I try to make a little extra money through my art, and crocheting and handmade beaded jewelry, but it is barely enough sometimes to even earn enough for a doctor's appointment or the medications I have to take. I usually don't like to ask for help, not because of pride, but because I know that there are people out there who are worse off than I am, but, desperate times sometimes call for desperate measures. I pray every night that I will be able to catch a break and be able to afford life and health insurance, my medications and still be able to find a place to live in my hometown. If anyone can help assist me in my goals, I would be eternally grateful. Even if all you can give is $1 to help me reach my goal, I am eternally grateful. Thank you for your kindness and support. God bless.
