My name is Kadija Shaw. I have competed in the Miss Teen Maryland pageant two years ago. It was an amazing experience and I met so many incredible people. I would like to raise money to compete again because the first time I did the pageant it was just for fun but this time around it is different. I want to create awareness in my community and help others as much as possible. I feel as though if I am able to win the title of being Miss Teen Maryland, I will be able to reach a lot more people in my youth and help in anyway that I possibly can. My greatest passion lies within helping communities develop to greater heights; as a result I have had the privilege to work with homeless shelters, youth clubs, fund raising campaigns to mention a few. My main concentration this year would be as, "Jose Rizal" stated , "The youth is the hope of our future". I truly believe that we all have a part to play in developing and molding our youth for a better tomorrow. I am a Christian attending services by father Lee at St Anne's episcopal church. I am greatful alone with the youth of st Anne's have agreed to assist me with this project.
