Chris Caldwell 's Medical Expenses

Donation protected
In September of 2015, Chris Caldwell was hit by a vehicle, leaving him with life-threatening injuries. For over a month, he was in critical condition, unable to speak or even breathe on his own. During this time, he underwent numerous surgeries, including a leg amputation. After an extended stay at Erie County Medical Center, miraculously, Chris was able to leave the hospital just before Christmas, under the care of his family. Since then, he has been through speech therapy to strengthen his voice and learn how to eat again, occupational therapy to regain his dexterity and physical therapy to regain movement lost. Now, Chris has a prosthetic leg and is relearning how to walk. The expense of these therapies, ongoing medical needs and prostheses is great. Due to ongoing neurological challenges caused by brain injury, Chris is unable to work, and unfortunately, he was recently denied social security disability benefits. His short-term disability ended early this year and he has no source of income. This page is to help with the many medical expenses and the care of Chris's two children. Any donation helps.
