Second Annual Ramadan Drive

Ramadan Mubarak everyone!  In the spirit of this holy month and to practice the most fundamental principles of Islam, we are raising money to purchase items for the Cornerstone Community Outreach Center in Uptown.    

The items will include basic necessities for the individuals at the shelter including non-perishable snacks and toiletries. 

This month, we should step up and do our best to improve, uplift and support those in need. The Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) has reminded us that the personal sacrifice of giving one’s possessions, no matter how small, for the sake of helping those in need, is a blessing and a means of purifying our souls and our wealth. We must remember that everything in this world is loaned to us for a brief period of time. 

Last year, with the grace of Allah (SWT), we were able to  to make and distribute fifty care packages to people experiencing homelessness in Downtown, Chicago. This Ramadan with your help, we hope to raise money to buy items to meet the needs of Cornerstone Community Outreach.
