On August 13,2016 my husband was struck down with sudden chest pains and a high fever, so I rushed him to the emergency room. They conducted numerous tests to see if it was his heart. Since they couldn't find anything wrong with his heart, they sent him home with instructions to flow up with his primary care doctor. Over the next two days at home he kept getting worse. There was something growing in his chest and we were watching it get bigger. When the blood work came back his doctor called us and told us to get him back to the emergency room. We went right in, where he was admitted to the hospital immediately. After a few days of blood tests and IV antibiotics we were told that he had a staph infection that was in his blood. By the 23rd of August, to spite being on anabiotic's, we were told that the infection had spread to his lungs. They are talking about surgery to remove the abscess from his chest and a lung biopsy to find you what is causing the lesions in his lungs. They are talking about months of IV antibiotics and if he does go home he will be on bed rest for quite sometime.

Derek is the main provider for your family of 4. He has been off work for more 2 weeks now  and we have no idea when he will be well enough to go back.  Thank you to all that can help and God bless you all.
