Shipping Costs For Baton Rouge Items

I'm Lyonel Traversiere. I grew up in Boston Massachusetts and currently reside in Randolph Massachusetts. On August 18, I started a clothing drive for those affected by the recent floods in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I myself have participated in volunteer work post Katrina in both Biloxi, Mississippi and New Orleans, Louisiana, on two separate occasions. I work at an alternative Boston Public high school, located in downtown Boston. The school is funded by a non profit organization. This idea was a method of  encouraging my students to step out of themselves, and reach out to others through the act of service. I never imagined that this idea would have grown into what it has.

All the clothing donations I have received have been shipped to Baton Rouge already. The total numbers for the cost of shipping everything there is $3232.55. We managed to raise little more than half of that in under the first two weeks.  I can't thank everyone enough for stepping up and helping me with this summer project. I'd appreciate if everyone took the time to please share this gofundme page to their social media audiences. It would mean so much to the people of Baton Rouge. Thank you.

ALL financial donations will go DIRECTLY to paying the shipping expenses that have been billed to my organization. Shipping is generated by weighing each package and also applying the zip code it will be sent to. The bigger the package, the more money it cost to ship it.  We sent quite a few packages to Baton Rouge. Anything helps. Thank you again for making this simple idea into a huge reality.
