#TeamChiqui Cancer Battle!

Some of us know Marisela Velazquez simply as "Mrs. V."  She's a friend, a mom, a wife, an early childhood educator, and most of all a fighter!  Mrs. V’s battles with cancer began early for her, beating ovarian cancer at the age of 26. Only five years ago, she overcame thyroid cancer, resulting in the removal of her thyroid and a lifetime of medication to “replace” her thyroid.

Just a few months ago, earlier this year, Friday May 13, 2016, she got the devastating news that she had lung cancer all over both of her lungs. Mrs. V has never smoked, but somehow she finds herself facing this battle. She thought she was going to the doctor to discuss a newly discovered tumor on the left side of her face, but was shocked to hear of the additional diagnosis.

Mrs. V is weak and tired, but she is not giving up! She has two wonderful daughters, a husband of 24 years, and in her own words, she has the "best job in the world working as a Montessori teacher.” She still has so much life to live!

So why the Gofundme page? I do this for Marisela Velazquez or "Mrs. V.” We are trying to raise money to give her a fighting chance. Mrs. V has started a natural treatment plan integrated with cancer treatments (chemo/blood filtration/high does IVC just to mention a few of the many), but all treatments are very expensive. She has cut back on the number of recommended weekly life-saving treatments because of the inability to afford all of them.

Let's join together and give, whatever amount we can, to this great and deserving person. Timeliness is key as she seeks the treatments needed to keep her doing what she loves - teaching our children!
