2016 Louisiana Feed

Thanks for stopping by the 2016 Louisiana Feed Campaign Page... I'd like to Thank each and everyone who read our story and gave donations to help us feed those who were in need after the flood here in Louisiana. We have met our goal in raising enough money to cook the intended 3 meals in 3 different areas and at this time we have stopped taking donations because the majority of the cooking help have strict work obligations beginning the first week in October.

Our 1st meal was on 8/27/16 at The Healing Place Church in Baton Rouge.
We cooked 850 lunches.

Our 2nd meal will be on 9/1/16 in Central Louisiana. Our intent is to serve 720 Pastalaya lunches.

We are trying to finalize details to cook our 3rd meal in Youngsville Louisiana
For that one we are planning on pushing the big pot to the limit and serve a 1000 plate lunches out of it.

So far the meal cost have been a lot less than the $3.00 a lunch we thought it would cost us so we will try to fit in a 4th meal before the beginning of October using whatever money we have left.

God Bless - 2016 Louisiana Feed

Hello... My name is Brent Waguespack and I was one of the fortunate ones here in Louisiana who didn't suffer any losses in the devastation the media has labeled the Great Flood of  2016.

Me along with some friends and coworkers are looking to purchase raw ingredients to cook Hot Meals for the people who were flooded out of their homes.  If you've visited our State before chances are that you've had a bowl of our delicious Louisiana Jambalaya.  I have a pots large enough to cook 700 plate meals of Jambalaya and White Beans at a time.

We have scheduled our first cook date for Saturday  August 27, 2016 in one of the hardest hit areas... Denham Springs LA. We will be transparent on all of our transactions and give updates.  Every penny we receive from any donations will go to the cost of the ingredients of the Jambalaya meals for the people who were devastated by the flooding. Any leftover donated funds will be given as a cash donation to a family in need.

We're asking for enough donations to cover the cost of cooking 3 different times in 3 different areas with the second two areas to be determined. In total we are looking to provide 2100 meals. Depending on the cost of the ingredients.. Each meal should cost about $3.00.

There are plenty opportunities out there for each an everyone of us to contribute  in helping out the people here in Louisiana.  Every little bit helps when $3.00 will feed a person in need a hot meal .

Thanks in Advance for the consideration of helping us help the people of Louisiana.

God Bless and Take Care.
