C.G.'s Gymnastics Disaster Relief
Donation protected
On August 12-14, 2016, the equivalent of a tropical storm developed over our city and just sat on top of us. We received over 20 inches of rain in two days and our beloved gym flooded. There was no warning for this storm and the gym has never been in danger of flooding before despite the many hurricanes we have survived.
Our spirits are high, but we have a hard road ahead of us. We have lost a lot of our gymnastics equipment we have spent over thirty years accummulating and we do not have the funds to replace what was lost.
Our gym is like a second home to many of our 700 students. It is what they love and we are family here. We are doing our best to open as soon as possible to bring back some normalcy to our students - many of whom have lost their homes as well.
We understand that this is going to be an ongoing effort. We understand that this is going to take time. We don't expect everyone to understand, but we are asking for help.
All of the funds donated will go to restoring the gym and helping re-home the families of the gym affected by the flood.
