Save Laza the Bearded Dragon

Donation protected
Meet Laza, my little bearded dragon. She is one of the sweetest reptiles you will ever see.  I bought her when she was just a few weeks old, only to discover that she had Yellow Fungus Disease - an aggressive and deadly fungal infection. It was a rough road, but after several months of treatment including harsh medication, Laza pulled through. She's a tough little survivor.

But now, she must fight another battle.

I recently found Laza stumbling and struggling to walk. She completely stopped eating and rapidly began to look depressed. I took her to the vet once again. An x-ray revealed something I did not expect -- follicular stasis. Basically, there are un-developed eggs stuck in her body. Like chickens, female lizards also sometimes lay infertile eggs. And like every woman, we sometimes have cysts or other complications with our reproductive organs.

Unfortunately, our only option for Laza's survival is to have the un-developed eggs surgically removed.

The follicles are pushing against the lungs and other organs in her body, and she cannot risk eating until the surgery is done. She can still walk, but she appears to be in pain and is getting worse by the day. Time is of the essence. I would pay for this in an instant if I could. However I simply cannot afford this. I have already spent so much in vet bills in the past - the yellow fungus medication, an immune system booster, pro-biotic, vet checkups, and this x-ray (not to mention my student loans). I am not afraid to spend money to save the life of my little friend. Even with all the treatments and syringe-feeding I've had to do to her, she never once tried to bite me, even on her grumpiest days. Laza struggled to fight a fungal infection for most of her young life so far (she is only about 14 months old), and just after she got better, this new problem arose.

Laza's name may sound like "lazy", a fitting name for a lizard -- but in truth, it comes from the biblical name Saint Lazarus of Bethany. He was brought back to life by Jesus and has become known as a symbol of resurrection. I did not expect Laza's young life to be this way, but she has bounced back from a deadly infection and emaciation. I KNOW she can pull through this too. She just needs your help.

During this surgery, she will also be spayed. This ensures that she will never have this problem again for the rest of her life.

The surgery will be performed by a wonderful and experienced exotic reptile veterinarian here in Florida.

I already got the x-ray and vet check done. I just need to schedule the surgery. The $700 I am asking for is solely to pay for the surgical procedure + gofundme fees. Please help. I will be extremely grateful to anyone who helps, and you will be helping to save the life of a beloved pet. Thank you <3

This is the most recent picture I have of Laza:

Here is the X-RAY from April 26, when the follicular stasis was discovered:

This is how she looked LAST SUMMER... when she had the Yellow Fungus infection, before treatment began:

But amazingly, she RECOVERED from yellow fungus... and went back to being her old self again! She is a fighter, and I know she can survive this new problem with your help!
