Louisiana Flood Rescuers Relief
Louisiana is facing floods like they haven't seen in hundreds of years. This has displaced hundreds of first responders across the state.
In Livingston Parish alone, over 100K residents have lost homes and vehicles. This includes around 50 Deputies who are still working to save lives even though they've lost their homes. Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard is paying out of pocket to put his Deputies in hotels.
This relief fund is set up to go directly to the first responders and departments in Louisiana who are facing crisis.

Spearheading this campaign is LESMA- Law Enforcement and Supporters for Media Accountability- a nationwide nonprofit based in New York with hundreds of thousands of affiliates around America. Our organization was contacted by residents in the area of Livingston Parish and asked if we could help. After reaching out to the Livingston Parish Department, we were given permission to raise these funds for them and direct contacts with whom to drop off supplies and arrange payment details. As Livingston Parish is under water at the moment and all first responders are busy saving lives, we are taking this step to raise them the much needed funds to keep their Deputies safe and housed. The funds will be distributed by LESMA to departments in need, with discretion based on what those needs are, with the first donations going directly to Livingston Parish Department. We promise full transparency and will update this campaign with press releases when funds are released to each department or First Responder family.
