THE GREAT LOUISIANA FLOOD OF AUGUST
Donation protected
Over the weekend, Southeastern Louisiana was battered by over 24 inches of historic rainfall causing one of the worst floods in its history. As many as 20,000 people were rescued from their homes with approximately 10,000 staying in shelters. With such widespread damage and so many displaced residents, unfortunately many USES employees at our Geismar, Louisiana location were severely impacted and in spite of this tremendously stressful personal challenge, many of them continue to work.
We are reaching out to you, our employees, to let you know that we share in the angst of the employees impacted by this catastrophic event and would like to offer our support both emotionally and financially. With the blessing of Ken Cherry, CEO, USES has established a GoFundMe page for financial donations. For every dollar contributed by our employees across the USES footprint, the company will match the donation, dollar for dollar. The sum of all funds raised and matched by USES will be evenly distributed in the form a visa card to the employees impacted by the flood.
In addition to the GoFundMe page, USES be also arrange for material donations such as clothing and/or personal necessities, on a case-by-case basis. We ask that you please join us in generously supporting our USES family members in this time of need.
