Make me a Tattoo Artist
Donation protected
I studied Illustration in college and have been drawing my whole life. Art has always been important to me and tattoos are just that. I got my first tattoo on my 18th birthday. I have so many now that I have become known as the guy with lots of tattoos. I currently am a freelance illustrator, doing portraits, logos, t-shirts and skateboards etc., but not tattoos.
A lot of people I have met or have seen my artwork have said I should be a tattoo artist. Many of my friends agree. I never really thought about it until this past week when someone hit me with the "What about tattooing?" hard enough and I finally looked into it.
I have plenty expierence in recieving tattoos, but not giving them. There are a few things one has to do in order to give tattoos, legally.
I need a license first off. I need to take the BloodBorne Pathogens course and also get CPR certified. There are a few fees here and there. Obviously, I need the gear and ink etc., but also I need to get a Hepititis B vaccine.
I will get all this done with your donations!
I am not interested in an apprenticeship right now, though I know that is the right path for learning the trade. For those who already know me and my artwork, know I have the skill. But, it will be a while before I am ready to tattoo someone. I have lots of practice to do. This isnt about me starting a career in some shop down the road. This is for the people who say to me, " I want you to tattoo me." Well, ok if you want me to tattoo you so bad, I will!
Money goes toward:
Tattoo License - $25
Bloodborne Pathogens course - $25
CPR class - $60
Inspection Fee - $105
Hepititis B vaccine ~$370
Trainning kit - $59.99
Ink kit - $192.00
Medical/Sterilization ~$100
I will post updates and progress for anyone interested! Also, here are links to my recent artwork!
