Every dog's life matters. Scooter's Pals does it again and pulls out all the stops to save a dog, "Saber."
Saber was abandoned at the SPCA two years ago. Knowing that he had seizures nobody stepped up to rescue him.  As soon as Scooter's Pals was made aware of his abandonment they got right to it and picked him up....... Welcome to Saving Saber. His journey has begun again. 
Saber is an incredible boy full of life and love. He was tragically taken from his home, that he loved so much. He was once again, abandoned and dumped at a shelter. The heartache Saber has had to endure is heavy. Saber suffers from a long history of horrific cluster seizures. Saber was stable and happy with his owner until she passed away 3 months ago due to illness. During this time he was slowly neglected of his medication, dental and abandoned in the shelter yet once again. Everything that Saber loved and knew was taken from him. Saber has had to endure not only the death of his owner, uncontrollable seizures, but also an horrible infection in his mouth. The lack of oral care turned into a deep infection that ate away at the roof of his mouth into his nasal cavity. This has caused him incredable pain, which took the quality of life Saber deserves to have. He came down with a secondary infection and his pain became unbearable.  Yet through it all he finds so much joy in life. On July 28, Saber went through a two hour reconstructive surgery. He had a massive infection in his gums and lost all his teeth except for two.  He is recovering slowly with the love of his fosters right now. Saber deserves a long and beautiful life.
