F$ck Cancer

Sometimes in life things are out of your control, and this is one of those times.


On Tuesday August 9th 2016, Tina's 39th birthday, she went in for a colonoscopy. My sister has been having sever pain in her lower back and abdomen.  The doctors wanted to do a colonoscopy as they believed she may have diverticulitis.
This colonoscopy has changed her life. They found instead of what they believed would be diverticulitis, a tumor on her colon. They did a biopsy and by Thursday August 11th the results came back showing it was between a stage 2/3 cancer.

The doctor rushed her into Langley Memorial as an emergency patient for surgery on Friday August 12th 2016 to have the tumor removed. She was then bumped till Saturday August 13th at 10:30 am as she needed a blood transfusion prior to surgery.

She was in surgery from 10:30am till 6:30pm. The procedure usually takes only 4 hours, however when they went in they had to remove a part of her bladder as the tumor had wrapped around it.

Tina has been in great spirits and is ready to fight this battle of her life head on. With a lot of emotional support and love around her I know she will beat this! She is strong willed and determined. She is a fighter!

However, as we all know she will be off work for an undetermined amount of time and will be undergoing chemo therapy. As she fights this fight and is unable to work,  bills will certainly be piling up. I ask that if you can please help by any donation possible to support my sister during this stage in her life.  I know it would relieve a lot of added stress that I know she was worried about even before going in. If together we can ease some stress such as the financial burden than she can focus her energy 100% on healing.
