On the 15th day of July 2016, my brother got shocking news after his latest hospital visit and a battery of tests and consultation, his kidneys were no longer functioning efficiently, in fact, they had failed.
Thus began a flurry of activities combined with the new reality that he was to go on dialysis with immediate effect.
With all of the new emotions and experiences he is dealing with, we are nevertheless utmostly grateful to God for life itself.
We would like to seize this opportunity to ask the good people reading this to help make his journey towards getting a new kidney a reality. His pcv is currently slow in catching up with the average acceptable level clinically and he's on several drugs to correct that, coupled with three times per week of dialysis sessions. The bills are piling up.
So far, close family and friends have stepped up to do what they can but he's at the point where more help is desperately needed.
Right now he needs financial aid to cover his dialysis sessions while he considers his options on the process of getting a new kidney. We are told that his statistics need to be improved before considering transplant options.
