Amealea's Amazing Adventure

We have a family member who has 3 beautiful children. Each child has their own disability but there is one who has Cerebral Palsey. Her name is Amelea. She is a smart, kind, caring, independent, strong willed an beautiful 12 year old young lady! Amealea was born at 26 weeks as a result she has cerebral palsy. She has wore leg braces since the age of two. Amealea's brain does not make the connections to the nerve in her leg She is currently on a trial for 30 days on one leg for "shock therapy" with a machine called Bioness! This machine helps kick start the connection with the brain. Amealea has had 4 rounds of botox which has not helped any thing close to this machine. Her mother is a very hard working women and she has done amazing for the last 12 years raising 3 children with disabilities! She does work but not enough hours or savings can help in the next 30 days as it is $7000 for each leg. Which gives her a total of $14,000. Amelea just received her trail on, August 11th, and just having the Bioness on for a few minutes you could see her walking was so much better. It was amazing to see! With this machine it will change her life in many ways like not having to wear big an hot leg braces and shoes all year round. Amealea would be able to go into a shoe store and pick any shoes she wants which she has never been able to do, as right now it's all about the shoe fitting over her braces. Amealea's feet get blisters and sore from wearing the braces and hates wearing them so with this machine it would be a tremendous self esteem boost for her as well. Not having to wear her braces, no more sores/sore feet and shoes to big so they fit the braces and she would walk like other kids and that in its self would change they way she looks at herself. Amealea has make a lot of process over the years. She used to rely on a walker/buggy to get around. Now she walks around without the walker and with the Bioness like a pro! Amelea has been work closely with a specialist in London named Dr.Carey and she paediatrician Dr.Johnston each doctor in their own way has been amazing!
We would like to do some fundraising as well to help raise funds for Ameleas Bioness!
