Sarah's Breast Cancer Journey

On July 19th, 2016, my 34 year old niece Sarah was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of Stage 3 Breast Cancer. Since then she has gone through extensive testing to see if it has spread further.  Devastatingly, it has. It has spread to both breasts, her lymph nodes and lastly her bones. The original course of treatment was 20 weeks of chemotherapy followed by radiation treatment.  Due to the latest diagnosis, the treatment plan has changed to be even more aggressive.  The new course of treatment will be 12 weeks of intense chemotherapy, followed by a short break and then chemotherapy every 2 to 3 weeks for the rest of her life.  This aggressive treatment will cause Sarah to be very sick and unable to work inside or outside her home. They will be treating this as a chronic disease.  As many of you are aware Sarah married the love of her life John Roque just one year ago. Their combined family (Junior 24, Dakotah 22, Joel 15 and Ethan 14) are struggling to deal with all that this diagnosis involves.  Their love as a family is boundless, and this horrific disease has brought them even closer as a family.  Over the next few months , there will be many doctors and treatment appointments for Sarah and John to attend.  In order to allow John to be there for Sarah and their family, this page has been set up to alleviate that one more burden.

We we can definitely make a difference for Sarah, John and their family.  They have a long road ahead, and this will only help to make her journey a bit less stressful.
