Oxford, MS Dog Park Phase 2 Upgrades

To all the supporters and users of the Oxford, MS Public Dog Park,

Who are we? We are the owners of Packer, Chester, Gus, Teagon, and Ollie. Avid dog park users, engineers, and construction workers. 

As a group of daily dog parkers, we have grown tired of the disgusting mess the water/pool area has become. We also find there to be a lack of shade and seating during the blisteringly hot summer months. If you have been to the park lately, you know exactly what we are talking about. That is why we have created this campaign to raise the funds to make necessary improvements to Oxford's only public space where dogs are free to be of leash. 

We have already acquired permission from the City of Oxford to make these upgrades, provided we do the work and we fund the projects. All work will be conducted by volunteers and users of the park. The projects we are looking at conducting are as follows:

Phase 1:

*Drawing is concept only.

1)Excavate the current gravel pit, properly install drainage pipes, place filter fabric, and fill with gravel. 
2) Build a raised deck, a set in pool, complete with drain valve and drain pipe over the new gravel drain bed.  (Dog washing grate is optional depending on funds raised).
3) Installation of privacy screening across the cyclone fence facing the soccer and baseball fields. 
4)Build or purchase of new benches and tables.

Phase 2 (pending funds raise)

1) Additional shade structures spread around the park.
2) Additional Lights for night late evening use.
3) Canine exercise / play equipment. 

All excess funds will be donated to the Oxford - Lafayette Humane Society in the name of "Dog Park Supporters".

We are confident with the funds raised, everyones dog park experiance will be greatly improved. Please help improve our community and donate to this campaign.
