Once in a life time opportunity!

Hi! My name is Elyse. I am 14 and getting ready to start my sophomore year in high school. I am an honor roll student, as well as participate in band, vocal, flag line, volleyball, and cheerleading. This winter, I have an opportunity to attend something AWESOME, but I think I'm going to need some help. Let me first say, this summer has been great! It's been filled with babysitting; camps, weight training, and practices for volleyball; doing odd jobs; cheerleading camps and practices, babysitting, swimming, and... more babysitting. Along with all the fun summer stuff, I have also done multiple fundraisers (to go along with my babysitting money) to pay for my cheerleading uniform & camps. Everything from bake sales to car washes to door-to-door cookie sales to plant sales. During our out-of-state cheer camp this month, I tried out for All-American Cheerleader. I managed to cheer my way to earn the title! With this accomplishment, I am given the opportunity to travel to London over Christmas break to represent my family, my town, my State, and my Country. I'm writing this because of this awesome opportunity. The one drawback to this achievement is the cost. It is so expensive to travel! After discussing it with my parents, I understand they are unable to pay for all of it and still pay the bills at home. I will be doing as many more fundraisers as possible between now and then, as well as working as much as I can to try to pay for this trip. I am selling everything I can think of including crafts, clothes, scentsy, and krispy creme donuts. Unfortunately, I'm worried that I will not have enough time with school starting to be able to make enough money on my own. A couple things I've been taught in my life so far are: to always set my goals high, always give 100%, work hard to earn the things I want, God will never give me more than I can handle, never forget where I come from, treat others like I want to be treated, don't lie, steal, cheat, or judge, traveling is the best education, & never be too proud to ask for help when I need it. With that in mind, I'm swallowing my pride and asking for help to reach one of my goals. Any amount will help! Even $5.00!!
