Help Me Start My Game
My name is Treyten Carey and I've been designing games as side-projects since I was very young. I taught myself how to code in multiple different coding languages and even competed in Game Programming competitions in highschool.
I am trying to raise money to help me kick off a game I created by myself. I spent much too many hours building this game from scratch. Coded the server to hold several players online at a time, and the client program where players can play the game with their friends. It's even mobile compatible for phones or tablets!
The game is about teaching people how to code and make their very own 3D MMO while learning in the process using my game. People will then be given their very own world (or server) where they can use my game to make their own game. From images, to 3D models, to sounds, and even using my in-game code editor to program your own MMO (such as making your own World of Warcraft, or your own League of Legends, the possibilities are endless). Want to make a 2D single-player game instead? That's supported too! Of course I realize not everyone knows how to code, that's why the main storyline (main server -- my world) will teach you exactly how to do that! Don't own a computer, or would rather play on your phone? No worries, I've already coded an Android phone/tablet version where you can STILL code in-game!
With the potential greatness for coders all around, Computer Science (specifically programming) is growing, and one day CS will be taught in schools like math, science, or English -- this game will help start that coding generation we so desperately need in our future.
The funds for this project will help greatly with hosting a website online, running a dedicated server so players can play together at all times, and will allow me to put it on the Google Play Store for people to play on their mobile devices.
This would mean a lot to me getting my project started and my game out there, but it would also help me achieve my dreams of being a successful programmer. As I go to university for Computer Science, it would be awesome to help me in my goals of becoming a necesity to the business industry helping to design our future as a whole.
